As a personal way of interperetating/celebrating the holiday I use it as a time to really make sure the important people i know in my life know how much i care about and value all they've done for me, it might not make sense to some but its difficult for me to take a second to actually sit back and let myself be happy about things,so being able to do that for those i have a genuine bond with makes it something i really look forward to the holiday
its cheesy but i lowkey do just feel good saying it to the ones i truly want to give thanks to
as the like on paper holiday its a sick ass time to pig out and not be judged for it

So, it went well... I think...
We'd agreed on meeting in small grocery store parking lot just outside the town center. Of course we'd managed to park at opposite ends and couldn't find eachother at first.
After we figured that out and finally met, I introduced her to my dogs and we decided we'd do the special holiday season walking route/ lightshow thing, where they have a bunch of pretty lights and some kind of holographic projections set up at various parks throughout town.
So we walked, and we talked, and I showed her how to walk a dog properly because she doesn't have a dog, but she caught on pretty quickly.
That took about an hour and a half, after which she mentioned she was hungry so went and got some streetfood, which I was not allowed to pay for.
We sat down on a bench to eat and did some people watching, after which we decided to head back.
Back at the cars I put my dogs away first before walking her to her car, where we agreed on having had fun and that it was definitely up for repeat. After which we hugged and said our goodbyes.
All in all we spent about two and a half hours together.
It's a bit early to say I'm in love, but I can definitely see myself falling for her.
Tldr, second date is happening.
